Sustainable Steps NEPAL

Education for children from rural parts of Nepal is hard to come by, and those who are lucky enough to be in school are usually from the wealthiest families in the village or have been lucky enough to encounter a foreign sponsor who has been touched by the kindness of the Nepalese during their trek to the villages. The earthquake has caused many children of the valley to lose their family members. Some children have lost a parent, and others became orphans to be cared for by relatives.

We are amazed by the outpouring of kindness and generosity shown by many individuals who have contacted us about sponsoring children who were affected by the earthquake. This has allowed our Sponsor A Child project to take off.

We currently have 39 children from Langtang Valley that are in need of sponsorship. We hope to enrol all 39 children in four schools that fully cover the cost of education and boarding.
